If you explore enough mathematics and physics, you come across Delta Distributions. These distributions are basically infinite spikes. Everywhere along the function, its value is zero, except right at the spike. To me that’s kinda what life looks like: it’s all zeroes until you’re here suddenly, and then all of it happens in a infinite spike within a specific value along a timeless function, and then it goes right back to zero. That’s where the song’s name comes from. It’s all primarily in 5/8, and we break down and loosen up towards the end where Mike and I change the feel almost to try to fool the listener into thinking it’s now 3/8, but really it’s all still in 5/8.
