about

Named from Dostoevsky’s “The Brothers Karamazov”. I liked Dmitri’s character, who is described as a man of fury and passion. He’s a poet, but not on an intellectual level, more so an emotional or even unconscious level. He’s moved tremendously by things he does not understand fully, if at all. I can be wildly emotional about useless stuff sometimes. Inspiration for introduction came from Scriabin’s Etude Op. 8 No. 12 (which I could actually play quite well at one point). The middle section features a transition to some electric piano, with some other instruments filling in. The feel of that section was inspired by Radiohead.
